I was struggling with my voice in noisy situations - especially networking events where I found it difficult to make myself heard and sometimes I would lose my voice and start coughing. This was affecting me so much that I stopped going to networks where I knew it would be noisy and I would struggle. Then I met Helen - I had 4 sessions with her and she was very patient, gave lots of positive feedback and made the sessions fun. We spent most of the time laughing as the voice exercises were roadrunner and horse impersonations for example! She also had me playing a kazoo, which I haven't done since I was a child and blowing bubbles into water, which felt very naughty as children usually get told not to do this! The effects have been profound and I have now learned how to project my voice and am able to speak and fill the space confidently. I have been to several noisy events and found that I was able to speak without hurting my throat. I will of course need to keep practicing, but I now have the tools I need to be voice confident! Thank you Helen.
