The North East’s leading conference helping employers to develop their workforce and drive productivity and skills returns in 2023.

The major People Power conference & exhibition, taking place at Northumbria University and attracting over 300 business leaders and senior HR professionals, will run again this year on 12 September 2023

Partner Sponsor Northumbria University have also teamed up with event organiser Fresh Start Events to run the conference at the prestigious business school campus in Newcastle

The conference will take place throughout the day and will offer a series of seminars and workshops from expert speakers designed to help leaders steer their organisations and their workforce through many challenges that we all face.

The practical, informative sessions will offer advice and guidance on boosting employee engagement, staff wellbeing, emotional intelligence, organisational change, relationship building and employer branding.

As well as helping to curate the online conference, Northumbria University will also contribute expert advice from their business school.

Vince Robson, Business Development Manager at Northumbria University said “We are delighted to be partnering with Fresh Start Events on People Power 2023. As businesses look to the future, People Power emphasises the importance of equipping a workforce with the required blend of skills, knowledge and behaviours to drive innovation, embed new business models and capitalise upon new ways of working. From psychological safety to embedding digital communication technologies into routines, People Power provides us with an excellent platform to share research and experiences and contribute to new ways of thinking with like-minded businesses and delegates.”

FSE Director Lorraine Gordon added “It is fantastic to be supported by Northumbria University, so People Power can expand its offer to the North East business community on issues like employee engagement, skills and people management – key issues for all employers. The event is all about helping businesses develop their most important asset: people. We believe this will be more important than ever as they focus on recovery and growth after some of the recent issues of the last few years"
