Last week was Mental Health Awareness Week, and Alliance Learning had a week full of activities for everyone to get involved in.
Activities included workshops and talks around mental health and anxiety for both staff and apprentices, delivered by guest speakers Laura O’Brien (Associate Lecturer) and Professor Jerome Carson (Professor of Psychology) from the University of Bolton.
The team at Alliance Learning also encouraged each other to take some timeout to catch up with a colleague, whilst enjoying a free brew from our on-site canteen – Tee’s & Toast and a free biscuit, made by our Marketing Coordinator, Jenny Karling (picture below).
Staff also took part in Wear It Green Day on 18May, to help raise awareness for Mental Health, in which they raised over £40 for the Mental Health Foundation.
To end the week, members of the team walked up to Rivington Pike. This was a great way to end the week, and a way for staff to take some time to switch off and enjoy some fresh air and the spectacular views around Horwich.
Following on from Mental Health Awareness Week, our apprentices have also had talks and support sessions delivered from Kooth & Qwell.
