Caritas Care’s Fostering Service celebrates 25 years of dedicated service, staying true to our mission to recruit and support foster families across the North West.
To mark our 25 year anniversary, some of the fostering team and foster carers will be completing a 25km walk around the Guild Wheel during Foster Care Fortnight on Wednesday 17 May. Leaving our Head Office on Tulketh Road at 9.30am, the group will head off to join the footpath to start the first leg of their walk to Brockholes Nature Reserve where we will stop for lunch before they re-join the path to complete their challenge.
Fostering Service Manager, Rebecca Hughes said, “We’re so proud to have worked with many loving and caring people over the years. It’s fantastic that we are all coming together to enjoy the 25th anniversary of our fostering service.
In this time we have approved 138 foster carers and provided a safe and loving home for almost 300 children and young people!
We couldn’t have achieved this without the dedication, strength and commitment of everyone involved in the fostering service from the staff to the foster families. Each and every one who has played a part in our journey should be really proud of what we’ve achieved over the years.”
25 Years With Loyal Foster Families
As we celebrate this amazing milestone, we wanted to take on this challenge to show our respect to all of the families who have opened their homes and their hearts to children. Please support us by giving us a wave and a cheer for the fantastic work the team does day in day out to support the county’s most vulnerable children.
We will be holding an online information event on Saturday 20 May at 10am. Click HERE to book your place.
