Bolton based Training Provider, Alliance Learning has once again linked up students from the University of Bolton on a real life work placement.
BA (HONS) Photography Graduate Jenny Karling took the lead on the project, along with undergraduates Megan Salvi, Holly Young and Leighanna Dickinson. Between them they planned, shot and prepared a range of images over a 4 day period for the ongoing development of the Alliance Learning website.
BA (HONS) Photography Programme Leader, Ian Glover liaised with the Alliance Learning Marketing Department and the graduates, offering technical and creative support, however, it was 'mainly their own work and ideas that were used' said the proud programme leader, Ian.
The work was undertaken during the students’ busiest period around examination, exhibition and preparation for their next phase following University life, so the time spent and the effort put in was greatly appreciated.
Student Leighanna Dickinson had the following comments: “This experience was a great opportunity for us to gain a taster of working in the real world of photography, and has shown us how important it is to work well within a team. We found the experience knowledgeable and successful when it came to presenting our creativity and professionalism to successfully complete the brief.”
Chloe Ramsden – Marketing Manager at Alliance Learning added: “This is the 2nd year we have run this project, it is great to give the students a real life work placement to enhance their future career prospects. The end results are fantastic and we value the relationship we have built up with Ian and the team at The University of Bolton.”
