One of Lancashire’s leading recruitment firms are celebrating after
winning the ‘Employer of the Year’ accolade at the Downtown in Business
Lancashire awards on Thursday 20th June.
“They’d just settled into the evening as the category was announced and the noise that erupted from their table at hearing the news was incredible” said Neil Welsh of PM&M.
A delighted Managing Director, Laura Leyland, said: “I don’t think I even reacted I was in that much shock, I just stood up and didn’t know what to do with myself! I’m absolutely thrilled for the whole team.”
“To win, shows just how far we have come in a short space of time, battling the stereotype of recruitment which is massively important for the overall innovation in our sector. Emily and I are so passionately proud of our fabulous team and for the parts they have played in the success of Fresh so far.”
The sister-led business were nominated as finalists in four award categories at the prestigious Lancashire Business Awards run by Downtown in Business and battled it out against some of the county’s top businesses, businessmen and women in the Female Networker of the Year, Employee of the Year and Recruitment Business of the Year categories.
Talent Acquisition Director, Emily Leyland was overjoyed “being a sister led company can sometimes be emotional, but this is something that drives the business, as our employees and the two of us know how much we care about Fresh and everyone that’s in it.
We can really use the trust we have created to constantly be better and improve the business.
“For Evie, it’s a huge testament to her hard work, dedication and passion to be shortlisted in the Employee of the Year category and we can’t wait to see what the future brings”
Fresh Perspective are committed to revolutionising recruitment across the North West – operating as a full service outsourced recruitment team, adding value and saving clients up to 50 percent by charging for time, rather than the traditional percentage placement fees.
They are ‘Family Business’’ and ‘Employer of the Year’ finalists at this year’s E3 Awards.
Last year, Laura claimed the coveted ‘Entrepreneur of the Year’ accolade at the Sub36 Awards whilst the firm was also shortlisted in other categories at the Sub36 awards and the BIBAs.
The Lancashire Business Awards are organised by Downtown in Business and celebrate the very best of what the Red Rose County has to offer.
