Two years in and Mint Travel launches it's mobile itinerary planning tool to the wider business community. Previously just used for Mint Business Travel clients, new functionality has meant that it can now be used by any company that has employees that travel irrespective of who books that travel for them. It now supports a company's legal responsibility for the duty of care for employees on business journeys.
The new functionality provides world-wide traveller tracking and if the company wants to identify a risk manager who wants to carry out that tracking then as the software is delivered through a web interface this can easily be provided.
The mobile App provides a detailed itinerary, integrated into airline systems to receive dynamic alerts for check-in, gate changes and delays etc. All travel requirements can be entered into the itinerary including flights, rail, taxis, hire cars, ferries and many others. It's also great for event managers too because all the details for meetings, conferences, incentives & events can also be entered. Other functionality mitigates the loss of receipts for expenses and therefore provides an audit trail to help prevent fraud.
