National Outdoor Expo meets Hiking Highs

The Outdoor Expo at the NEC last week-end took us by storm.  What an enthusiast bunch of smiley folk who come to see us, chat to us about The Lakes, & some who came buy trekking poles, nordic walking poles & running poles alike.  Our stand had a constant stream of folk coming and going which made our week-end fun and successful.

The show had a brilliant atmosphere with all sorts of stands and talks happening, an all round great event. We hope we inspired many to join us in The Lakes for an adventure on foot to explore and escape & many folk have taken an interest in our navigation courses too.  It's never too soon or too late to learn a new skill and have fun with it in the outdoors, so we hope to have passed on this on to folk we chatted to.

Nic had the greatest pleasure at the show of meeting Jesse Dufton and his girlfriend Molly. Jesse is a blind climber and a very inspiring guy, with an amazingly calm air about him, Nic felt truly inspired by their chat.  They came to look at poles and how they could make life easier to head up to the crags for balance, confidence and support over tricky terrain for Jesse before and after a climb.

Mountain Run & Hiking Highs joined forces with Leki to give an insight to how we can escape not only to The Lakes but in the outdoor wherever you live.
