‘We’ve spent time in the business working on improving our processes and have decided to change a few of our systems. This is such a large investment of time that we need to make sure our team adapt the new processes and systems. How do we do this?’
When you’ve spent time working out the kinks and bottlenecks in your business, and decide you want to make some changes, it’s vital that these changes are well adopted, to ensure overall business improvement.
Here's a step by step for how to manage change when launching these projects:
✨1. Enhance your vision – why are you making these changes? What impact are these changes going to have on the business and people in it? Take your team through this to showcase to them things like how much more efficient their time will be; how much easier their day-to-day will become. A shared vision makes for a powerful project.
✨2. Engage and motivate employees around changes – when you’ve mapped your process improvement needs, bringing your team into the discussion to give feedback and make suggestions is a great way of ensuring that they’re on board with the changes needed
✨3. Provide training and resources around the new processes – from the get-go each relevant person should be given ample training and resources (including documentation of processes) to use as and when needed. This makes the new processes and systems more accessible to everyone, removing any potential barriers.
I’d love to know more about how you’ve encouraged your team to get on board with new changes, so if something’s worked well for your business in the past, leave a comment below??
