Out of sight, out of mind is a common term you will be used to hearing or indeed saying. Its direct origins are not well known, probably because we forgot about it! ? But its thought to go back to Aristotle who wrote “memory is the residue of thought”. This means that if we are not paying attention to something it will simply slip from our mind or be push out by something more pressing.
With this in mind (pun intended) we can start to think about the things which are out of sight. I was in my loft this week hiding Christmas presents and I’m slightly ashamed to say it but it was full of bags and boxes which I have no idea what was in most of them. Again, out of sight, out of mind. With Legionella control we need to inspect our water storage cisterns annually and more often than not these are located… yes you guessed it, in the loft, so please don’t forget about them.
Here are some pictures from a recent cleaned and disinfection we carried out for a customer. If you haven’t had yours looked at then we can help you out, or make sure to check your logbooks to make sure it’s been done.
