ATG Group Director to address Parliament about PFAS land remediation

By
A Director from GBShared member company ATG Group has been invited to present evidence to Parliament about addressing the risks of ‘forever chemicals’ (known as PFAS) on contaminated land.
Duncan Sanders, who is a Director of ATG Group’s England division and a hydrogeologist, has been spearheading remediation on sites across the UK.
He will tell the House of Commons Environment Audit Committee early in September about how two major sites in the south of England are being remediated before construction projects are carried out on the land.
The chemicals were used from the 1940s on a range of products, including non-stick cookware and AFFF fire fighting foam. Studies have since discovered exposure to them might be hazardous to human health.
A week later, Duncan will be a key speaker at the Contaminated Land Remediation Expo at Birmingham’s NEC.
He will be sharing how rapidly-evolving remediation technologies are being constantly assessed by his team to ensure ATG Group clients achieve the best results.
ATG Group is a UK-wide land remediation company and has bases in Northern Ireland, Sunderland, Winchester, Liverpool, the West Midlands, the Republic of Ireland and Scotland.
As well as remediating brownfield sites, ATG Group also treats invasive plant species and deals with domestic oil spills.
