Our sister company, Blaydon Communications Limited, are commercial audio visual and sound system installers. For many years, that industry has relied on an intake of electrical and electronic related disciplines to fill apprenticeship roles, but these people, once trained, tend to move to roles that are not dedicated to the audio visual sector.  The lack of official training routes and qualifications has always been a stumbling block, but now there's a new option and it's right here in the North East. Middlesbrough College have launched a new Audio Visual Technician apprenticeship programme which will boost the entry level knowledge coming into the insustry and ultimatley lead to increased quality and knowledge within the sector as well as better staff retention. 

Our sister company is actively looking for an apprentice, but even those not based in travelling distance for that role could look at opportunities further afield through this course. The AV world is a fast moving technology environment and the future sucess and longeviety of the industry relies on an influx on entusiastic entry level people who can be taught and developed from the vast and experienced specialists that have been around for years.
