Twice in the past six months, I've had the privilege of featuring on ITV local news, providing insights on pressing local health and wellbeing issues. I appear to have become their favourite expert NT!
My first appearance delved into the dynamics of supermarket meal deals. I was invited to share my thoughts on how these are a staple for many consumers seeking convenient and affordable options. I was able to provide valuable insights into the appeal and impact of these meal deals on the community, both adults and teenagers alike. The interview highlighted the nuanced choices shoppers make and shed light on how and why these are contributing to the obesity crisis.
Addressing the obesity crisis directly in my second interview, emphasizing the multifaceted nature of the issue and advocating for a holistic approach encompassing education, awareness, and systemic changes. Addressing everything from dietary habits and lifestyle choices to the influence of advertising and societal expectations. The obesity crisis is a complex challenge with no one-size-fits-all solution. Action is needed to re-educate individuals and schoolchildren to understand the true value of real, whole food and how it nourishes the body in a way that processed foods can never fulfill.
