GB Shared Founder Lisa Edge Shortlisted for National Female Business Award in Sustainability

By
Lisa Edge, founder of GB Shared and creator of the award-winning Lancashare platform, has been shortlisted for the 2025 Female Business Awards in the Sustainability, Eco-friendly, Planet Friendly category.

Lisa’s journey—from a young mum with no qualifications to a nationally recognised innovator—has inspired thousands. Her platform, GB Shared, digitally rebuilds local infrastructure by connecting businesses, communities, and public services to reduce carbon, embed social value, and create the UK’s first sustainable supply chain.

With the Procurement Act 2023 prioritising sustainable procurement, GB Shared fills a critical gap—helping organisations align with global goals while gaining commercial advantage. Lisa’s innovation has already earned her the Women in Innovation Award and a rare Purple Plaque, awarded to fewer than 4% of women.

Lisa said: “I’m honoured to be recognised for work that not only supports businesses but also leaves a legacy for people and planet. This shortlisting is a win for every organisation that believed in sharing from the start.”

The winners will be announced at a gala event in Manchester on 14th November 2025.
