DTE are thrilled to be supporting Bury Hospice for our 2018 summer charity challenge. Bury Hospice is a fantastic local hospice offering care and support not only to people approaching the end of life but also to their families and friends.
This year we have decided to hold a DTE Decathlon. Various teams and individual members of staff will take part in 10 events over the summer months hoping to raise £5000 for the hospice.
We kicked off the Decathlon on Sunday 15 April with the Clitheroe Triathlon. Our team for this event was Luke Seymour, George Owen & Richard Beard and we are pleased to say all completed the triathlon in one piece, raising over £600 towards our target of £5000.
Our next event will take place on Sunday 29 April, our intrepid triathlon team have recruited an extra member, Lewis Pearson, and will be taking on a 117mile bike ride from Bury to Hull!!!
Waiting in the wings and training hard for our 3rd event we have Kate Hughes and Bethany Thornton who will take the baton to complete a 5k open swim challenge at Salford Quays on 7th July.
You can follow all the events and the teams progress on our Twitter and Facebook pages and if you would like to help the guys reach their target of £5000 you can donate here - https://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/DTEGroup
