Datacentreplus Assisting Greater Manchester To Become The UK’s Leading Digital City
Datacentreplus is playing a key role for Greater Manchester to become the UK’s leading digital city. A city with a bold economy, which actively encourages businesses to invest and grow, where technology is used to deliver positive change and also connects young people with opportunities.
Based near Media City UK, Datacentreplus was founded in 2015. Since this time, it has flourished into a thriving, well - established company providing Colocation, Dedicated Servers, Cloud Hosting and Backup for growing and established businesses in and around Greater Manchester.
It is wholly privately owned by founder and Managing Director, Mashukul Hoque, a Manchester-based entrepreneur operating from Salford with a strong track record in the IT services sector.
There are only around 220 data centres in the UK and very few are privately owned. Building a data centre is a complex endeavour and there are strong barriers to entry for new players (for example, significant up-front capital investment) which means it is significant when a new entrant comes along.
Our aim at Datacentreplus is to become a key contributor to the growth of the digital sector in the North West and become a key driver to the success of businesses looking to set up here. We very much want to play a strong role within the technology community in and around Manchester and hopefully encourage, attract and nurture digital talent to this region of the country.
We are also a company who strongly believe in conducting our business practices in an ethical way. This means that ethical values are at the heart of everything we do and we are very proud to support a wide range of local businesses and community across Greater Manchester. These include through the likes of education, visiting local primary schools to discuss the importance of technology and careers in the digital sector, our participation in the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) program, which encourages children to explore STEM related concepts, as well as supporting the likes of the Mancunian Way and Forever Manchester charity.
Founder and Managing Director of Datacentreplus Mashukul Hoque says:
“Manchester is my home town and it always made perfect sense to invest here. We are proud to be able to contribute to the growth of Manchester’s digital economy and look forward to creating jobs and helping businesses flourish here.”
