Manchester MediaCity-based hosting company Datacentreplus is pleased to announce the completion of its power upgrade works. We have just completed the last phase of power upgrade works that started back in April 2017. This represents a substantial investment in the business and one that will see it serving its customers well into the future.
Datacentreplus owns and manages the data centre itself and has been serving customers since 2015, offering colocation, dedicated servers and other cloud services. It now has a strong customer base and continues to grow rapidly whilst developing an enviable reputation for customer service.
Operations Manager, Syed Ali, says:
“The power upgrade was a long time in the planning and it is with great relief
that it was completed on-time and represents a huge investment for us in being
able to provide class-leading resilience to our customers”.
The works comprised of upgrading the power to the data centre (tripling the amount of power available) and also an upgrade to the latest Riello UPS systems with N+1 backup. We also took the opportunity to add more rack capacity to the data hall as a result of strong customer demand.
In addition to state-of-the-art UPS systems, the data centre facilities are also fully protected through 24x7 security and resilient communications so that there is no interruption to customer service.
We are continuing to invest in the data centre and future upgrades will include better customer facilities and work areas to help fulfil its ambitions to double its size over the next 12 months.
