What you need to know about the DBS fee changes

By

Since the fees payable were last amended, the DBS has modernised its technology system, securing efficiencies of scale. This change has facilitated higher than forecast volumes of applications being received and processed. Therefore, fees need to be amended to ensure that the cost savings are reflected in the fees, and individuals are not being overcharged for services received. This instrument reduces fees for basic, standard, and enhanced DBS checks, where the fee is payable. There is no change to the fee for the update service. What do you need to do next?

TotalCRB see this news as very positive for our customers, and potential customers, who request that their employees undertake a criminal record check. It reduces fees associated with securing work/voluntary positions where a criminal record check is required or requested.

You don’t need to do anything!

TotalCRB have been preparing for these changes and will be amending fees in our systems, processes and documents in line with the 1st October 2019 deadline.
