Mindset - Did you know?

By

Did you know that you have about 100 billion neurons or brain cells in your brain and that 2/3rds of the neurons in your Amygdala (worry command centre part in the brain) go searching for the negatives in a situation.

As you can imagine many areas of the media feed this by constantly reporting on 'worse case scenarios', 'everything that is a disaster', 'finding problems with solutions' it goes on and on.

When you find yourself hooking into unhelpful thoughts, think about where the information came from, is it one persons or organisations perspective? Is it out of your immediate control? Reframe your thoughts and energy to the things you do have control over in the here and now.

Each time you reflect on things you are thankful for you train your brain to be happier and begin to calm that worry command centre down and begin to think more logically and rationally rather that through your mood... go on give it a go, who doesn't want a happier brain?
