Lancashare, the central resource platform for the county, where hundreds of businesses have come together for a more collaborative Lancashire, has sponsored the afternoon business show on Ribble FM.

Starting in December 2018, the afternoon show, 'It's your business' is now sponsored by Lancashare.   Ribble FM was launched 2 years ago by Kath Lord-Green (the same time Lancashare was making her debut) and it has continued to grow under Kath's careful guidance.   The award-winning community radio station in the Ribble Valley launched on 106.7FM in July 2016 and are going from strength to strength. Being the only dedicated radio station in the Ribble Valley they are very well supported by the local business community and local people.

The station offers competitive advertising and can only generate 50% of their income via advertising and sponsorship, the rest must come from grants, donations and other funding.  The 24/7 station welcomed Lancashare as sponsors of the business show in December 2018.  Members and non-members of Lancashare from the local business community take to the station on Tuesday afternoons to 'share' their business tips, advice and successes.  

Founder of Lancashare, Lisa Edge said, 'I don't have the technical skills the team at Ribble FM do, but it is an incredible station, built on the generosity of local people and businesses.  I'm still getting to grips with the control panel and juggling the equipment but it's hearing the various businesses that intrigues us most.  The show never quite seems long enough once you get to really question businesses on the challenges and successes they've faced.  Every week we uncover another incredible, local story!
