We officially launched our very first cookery session at The Brick Wigan, the start of a fully funded 6-week cooking course!

Our theme today was “Waste to WOW” 

We explored how everyday leftovers and cupboard staples can be transformed into delicious meals instead of going to waste.

Today’s ingredients included:

Stale bread

Tinned potatoes

Leftover Sunday roast vegetables

Together we made:

Cinnamon Toast

Onion Bhajis using leftover bread

Revamped tinned potatoes

Creative dishes using leftover roast vegetables

A fantastic first session full of creativity, learning, and great food. Looking forward to the next five weeks and seeing what everyone creates!
