DBS Checks for Our
Volunteering Heroes!
During the
Coronavirus outbreak, communities and organisations have been impacted
significantly and TotalCRB want to ensure that as a local Lancashire company,
and responsible government registered body for the DBS, we do all that we can
to ensure that vulnerable groups continue to be safeguarded and regarded as a
priority.
To help
fight the Coronavirus outbreak, the DBS made some temporary changes back in
March. This includes NO charge for Fast
Track Service DBS checks. In line with some of these changes, TotalCRB would
like to offer FREE, volunteer DBS checks to
those who are undertaking a vital volunteer role in these unprecedented
circumstances we all are facing due to COVID-19.
The DBS have
set out guidelines that contains all the information on eligible roles for
volunteers and we would refer you to these guidelines to ensure you fully
understand who would be eligible for a volunteer DBS check.
Please visit the link below which will, in detail, set out the DBS guidelines for volunteers during the Coronavirus.

TotalCRB are
proud to have already processed many applications under the Free-of-charge DBS
applications and fast track barred list check service. This is to ensure vital
roles within our NHS and healthcare sector continue without delay. We hope to
help many more people and organisations who are volunteering through these
difficult times.
