Thanks to the hard work of Noel and the team, our Gypsy, Traveller and Roma awareness programme has moved from development into rollout, with our third session now delivered in Wales, and with evaluation support from Wrexham University.17 local authorities from across Wales have contributed to growing engagement, building knowledge and confidence nationally. The outcomes have also been strong so far, with 97% of participants rating the training as excellent.

A particularly important part of this process has been the growth of lived experience facilitators within the delivery team. Alexandra and Chris have begun to progress into co-delivery roles, bringing Roma and Traveller perspectives and helping to strengthen the authenticity, sustainability and community-led nature of the training. We can’t wait to see the future impact of this programme.
