This month, we were delighted to hear that we have been successful in all three City of York Council tenders we applied for, covering domestic abuse, safeguarding and a new leadership programme. As York is where Transform Your Training began, this feels like a meaningful full-circle moment and an exciting opportunity to continue strengthening our work in the city.

As part of the leadership programme, we have held two consultation events with York staff to ensure the training is shaped around the realities of their roles, the needs of their teams and the priorities of the local area. We are now developing a bespoke two-day programme, which will be piloted next month before being delivered monthly from September, with the intention of continuing over the next three years.

The programme will also include practice learning sessions for those attending the two-day course, creating space to reinforce learning in practice, explore challenges as they arise and recognise the progress being made. We are looking forward to seeing how this work supports confident, reflective and values-led leadership across services in York.
