ATG Group opens first Treatment Hub as it continues growth

By

We are delighted to announce that we are opening our treatment facility in Ballymena this spring.

It is part of plans to open treatment hubs in Scotland, Northern England and South West England as our business continues to grow.

The hub is part of our dedication to offer sustainable, innovative and cost-effective remediation solutions. Opening an off-site facility is a natural step forward in our commitment to find the best sustainable option for our clients and partners and to contribute to their ESG goals.

The Treatment Hub

ATG Treatment Hub (Ballymena) is a sustainable alternative that makes it now possible to treat waste materials that would typically end up in landfills.

At the ATG Treatment Hub (Ballymena), we are using our on-site remediation solutions to treat land that was not suitable for such remediation before. On-site remediation is not always possible because of programme constraints, site access or a small volume of material that needs to be treated. Usually, this soil is disposed of in landfills, but we offer a sustainable alternative to treat it in our treatment facility.

Instead of disposing, we will treat waste materials at our hub for re-use in restoration projects or other environmental improvement schemes. By choosing our off-site treatment option, we enable your Company to maintain its sustainable construction objectives, even on sites with difficult conditions.

Treatment of the Waste

We have years of on-site remediation experience, which offered us the technical competence to efficiently treat the following contaminants:

  • Hydrocarbons
  • Heavy Metals
  • Poly Aromatic Hydrocarbons (PAHs)
  • Asbestos-impacted soils
  • Contaminated dredge materials

We have innovative treatment technologies to treat waste materials such as:

  • Bioremediation
  • Chemical oxidation
  • Soil Processing
  • Japanese Knotweed Treatment (Eraginate®)

Advantages

Our hub is situated within 25 miles northwest of Belfast which makes it a perfect location to service clients throughout Northern Ireland while avoiding traffic congestion.

  • No landfill tax
  • Reduced costs
  • More sustainable
  • Materials re-use and recycle
  • Allows off-site remediation
  • Supports your Company’s ESG commitments
