Are you switched on to the switch off?

By

Switch on and get ready for September...

In September the UK reached "stop sell" on the new supply of Openreach copper services. This means services, such as standard landlines (analogue) and copper broadband will no longer be available to order

The stop sell comes hand in hand with The Great British Switch Off, an initiative to switch off the dated copper phone network.

What’s being switched off and when?

The Switch Off consists of two projects.

The WLR Withdrawal - which covers the withdrawal of analogue phone services (PSTN, ISDN) and copper broadband (ADSL, FTTC) - and the Full Fibre Priority Exchange Programme, which is the rollout of fibre broadband services, to ensure full fibre becomes the predominant connectivity product across the UK.

Are you switched on?

Research shows that only 15% of small businesses, and 20% of large businesses have plans in place to migrate to an alternative communications technology.

While calls won’t suddenly stop working overnight many current services will no longer be available, and support will be more restricted, so if you haven't already, it's time to start thinking about your options.

The Future is here

It's time to think about full fibre, and connecting with cloud communications.

SOGEA enables consumers and businesses to buy a broadband connection without the need for a phone line, and with FTTP you take full fibre to the next level with speeds of up to 1Gbps.

In terms of Telephony, VoIP (Voice over the Internet) provides higher quality, a host of additional features, and better value to boot - now's the time to enjoy the benefits of modern business communications.
