Are you paying for new fire extinguishers every few years?

All water based fire extinguishers, Water, Water with additive (some brands are Aqua spray), Foam and Wet Chemical are required to be discharged and refilled every five years. Most Fire companies will take the easy route-easier for them but more expensive for the customer-of replacing with new and charging for the new unit.

There is a cheaper and more sustainable way. At FR Fire we take your water based extinguishers and swap them for one we have refilled in our workshop. This is significantly cheaper and we will do this for the normal service price. We then take your old ones, empty them, dispose of the contents correctly and refill them for the next customer.

This results in lower invoices for our customers and less waste.

Any extinguishers which are not suitable for refilling (damaged or non-water based) are sent for recycling.
