A little bit about award-winning Hilary Newhall CMLI.

I’ve always had a passion for solving puzzles, which is why I’m drawn to projects that involve challenging landscape or garden problems. To me, every challenge is an opportunity to discover a truly creative solution.

From the Ground Up

My career began over 50 years ago as an apprentice gardener, where I quickly discovered a deep passion for plants and planting.

After years of running my own landscape construction and maintenance business, I realised I wanted to deepen my understanding. I completed a Degree in Landscape Design, followed by a Postgraduate Diploma in Landscape Architecture.

This journey led me to earn an Advanced Diploma in Environmental Project Management, and in 1994, I achieved Chartered Membership of the Landscape Institute (CMLI).
