London Build 2025: A Step into the Future with Prevail

By
The Prevail team exhibited at London Build in November. Our first trade show as exhibitor was a hugely enjoyable and rewarding experience. Here are the highlights!

London Build ran over two days – the 19th and 20th – in November this year. It is the UK’s biggest trade show dedicated to the construction industry. Prevail has attended as a visitor for many years. However, 2025 marked a turning point for us. It was our first year attending as an exhibitor.

Highlights from London Build 2025

As first-time exhibitors to the show, the Prevail team were struck by just how many insightful conversations we struck up with show visitors.

Overwhelmingly, we were met with great interest in the specialist financial advice and consultancy we offer to the sector. There is a huge appetite to know more about how to improve financial reporting and use real-time insights to increase profit.

We were surprised at just how many small construction businesses still don’t have digital systems in place to manage their accounts and forecasting. It is easy to think that most businesses have taken some steps towards digitalisation – however, this is simply not the case. Many of the people we met at the show still rely on Excel spreadsheets to track their key financial data.

This leaves a huge gap for process and reporting improvements, especially around real-time data, which can make a foundational difference to business success or failure.

Time travellers from the future?

The Prevail team is expert in digital transformation. We’ve helped every single one of our clients to improve the availability of management information and boost the visibility of their business performance.

Delivering these insights is our bread and butter. And having these insights is critical to maximise profit.

However, when speaking with some of the small and mid-size construction businesses at London Build, it seemed as if our approach was something from the future! It was almost like science fiction to some!

One of the reasons we felt so privileged to speak to students and people early on in the their careers at the event was for the opportunity to sow the seeds of best practice early. The construction sector accounts for the most insolvencies in England and Wales – around 76 per week and more than any other industry.

It would be fantastic to think that by explaining our “futuristic” approach, we’ve helped to reduce this ratio for future construction industry businesses.

One of the highlights of the show has been the amazing support we have received from our partners and customers to help make the show a success.

We also discovered a fantastic perk of working in the construction industry – plenty of hands-on help! Special thanks must go to Anna and Andrzej Pawlus at our customer Pawlus Group. Their amazing generosity in helping us set up and take down the stand really took the stress out of the whole process. The hard work of their team made the process seamless for us.
