Datacentreplus are thrilled to have taken part in the Captain Manchester campaign for the Forever Manchester charity.
Forever Manchester is a charity that raises money to fund and support community activity across Greater Manchester.
Captain Manchester was originally designed as a marketing stunt in 2013 for the Forever Manchester charity. The campaign involved a man dressing as a self-styled ‘superhero’ taking to the streets of Manchester to spread love and good deeds throughout the city.
The original campaign was managed and created by the creative agency, Tunafish Media. Over the next two months, the character is re-launching with a campaign that captures the spirit of the original stunt whilst using Forever Manchester’s existing contacts to maximise the reach and inclusivity of the character.
The campaign consists of a collaboration which will feature 50 Manchester businesses; each of which will take over the Captain Manchester character for half a day and head to the streets to complete good deeds and spread love in their own unique way.
Stephen Hobson, Head of Account Management at Datacentreplus and an Ambassador at Forever Manchester says:
“It is fantastic to be involved in such a great cause for the Forever Manchester charity. Myself and Datacentreplus are really proud to be a part of the Captain Manchester campaign, working alongside a number of Manchester businesses to support and celebrate the good work that Forever Manchester continue to do”.
