Beever and Struthers, Chartered Accountants and Business Advisors, is pleased to announce that Audit Partner Joe Diston has been appointed as the new Global IFRS Leader for HLB International, the global advisory and accounting network. 

Joe joined Beever and Struthers in 2023 and was promoted to Partner earlier this year. In his expanded global role, he will lead IFRS strategy and technical alignment across the HLB network, supporting member firms and clients as they navigate complex international financial reporting challenges. 

Joe brings more than 15 years of Big 4 experience to the role, having led audits and advisory engagements for clients across the UK, Europe, US, and the Cayman Islands particularly within private equity, financial services, and wealth management. He is a specialist in IFRS, UK GAAP, and US GAAP, with a strong technical knowledge of cross-border reporting, IFRS conversions, and the adoption of new standards. 

In his role as Global IFRS Leader, Joe will drive consistency and quality across international reporting practices and work closely with member firms to implement best-in-class solutions tailored to clients’ global operations. His appointment reflects HLB’s commitment to continuous improvement and robust financial reporting across borders.
