It's been a busy period for our retail team as they open the doors to two new Age UK Lancashire shops in St Annes and Burnley!
The money raised in both shops will be integral to supporting older people in Lancashire and helping us support their needs.
Our St Annes store recently relocated to the high street (47 St Annes Road West) and held their Grand Opening on Saturday 13th May with local Councilor Ed Nash cutting the ribbon to officially open the new store to the public.
Thank you to everyone that has visited us in St Annes so far. We were delighted with the support on its first day raising over £1000 to help older people in Lancashire.
Our new team in Burnley have been working non-stop in preparation for when the new store at the Vincent Farrell Centre on Temple Streets officially opens its doors on Friday 19th May. The team are delighted to be welcoming Local MP Anthony Higginbottom who will cut the ribbon and officially opening the shop for the public to enjoy.
Everyone is welcome to come down on the Friday to support the opening of the shop and those that get their early will be able to grab a goodie bag which includes a money-off voucher! Why not stop by and see if you can pick up some bargains?
The opening of the Burnley shop has been a big renovation and would not have been possible without the support of NHS Property Services, Edmundson Electrical and Plumbase who have all volunteered their time and expertise to ensure the shop is ready for the public.
Both shops are reliant on the generosity of people and welcome donations of unwanted items and people to volunteer at our shops. Click here to learn more about our shops.
