About Age UK Lancashire
Welcome To Age UK Lancashire. We are a county-wide charity working with and for older people. We believe that later life should be valued and fulfilling. Through the services and support we provide, we aim to promote independence, enhance health and well-being and enable older people to access the information they need to make informed decisions about their lives.
Age is different for everyone and, of course, the challenges and the demands are different for everyone, too. At Age UK Lancashire, we are many things to many people – a source of advice, information, companionship and support, among many other things.
What we doWe believe that everyone can love later life - we do this by inspiring, supporting and enabling in a number of ways.
Our Services
We believe that it is important to enable older people and their carers to have support to remain independent and to live interesting and fulfilled lives. We offer a range of services to help older people across Lancashire make more of their lives. Our care services are available to help frailer older people or those who feel lonely or isolated whilst social groups, luncheon clubs, exercise classes, computer lessons, Home Help services and much more assist older people in remaining active, independent and linked in to their local community.
How you can help
Age UK Lancashire is an independent local charity so all our running costs have to be raised each year through appeals, grant applications, events and other fundraising ventures.
Demand for our help increases year on year and we rely on the generosity and time given by our volunteers and the donations we receive to fund many of our vital services. This generosity helps to improve and support the quality of life for all older people throughout the county.
If you feel that you can help in any of the ways below, or indeed in any other way, then please contact us either at your local office or on 0300 303 1234 during office hours.
