Total Insignia, branding and textiles experts based in Blackburn, has announced that Official Kit, a specialist sports and schoolwear supplier, has become part of the TI Group of Companies.
This amalgamation will further improve Total Insignia’s overall offering to customers by enabling access to top branded sports kit and education uniform, allowing the specialists to explore several new markets. Over the next 5 years, the UK’s sportswear market and school uniform market are due to grow by 20.9% and 7% respectively. This deal positions Total Insignia as an essential supply-chain partner.
Official Kit was first established in 2006 by managing director and industry expert Phil Taylor. Phil has developed his knowledge of the clothing industry over five decades, first starting as a designer for numerous sports and fashion brands. Through Phil’s guidance, Official Kit supply top branded teamwear and uniform to over 150 schools and clubs across the North West.
Communications first commenced between Mr Taylor and Total Insignia’s directors in Q3 last year, with Phil eyeing up the textiles specialists as a potential buyer because of their high-quality customer service and strong company values.
Phil Taylor said “I’m delighted to be collaborating with Total Insignia. The team are exceptional at what they do and I can absolutely assure that my customers will continue to receive a high-quality service.”
Gail Hull, company director at Total Insignia, commented “I am really excited. Official Kit is a brilliant business which has superb potential. I’ve known Phil for a long time so it’s great to have him on board. I can’t wait to see how we can grow together.”
Official Kit becomes the second business which Total Insignia has collaborated with in recent years following the successful takeover of the T-Shirt Cabin in 2019.
This announcement marks a fast-paced start to 2022 for Total Insignia, as they look to build on their 2021 successes.
