As supporters of this initiative, we will be assessing our own working conditions to see how we compare with other firms in Greater Manchester and where they may be areas that we can improve. From this, we hope to become accredited through the charter, enabling us to inspire more businesses within the region to show their support for fair employment for all!
Why is the Good Employment Charter important?
The vision of the Charter is for Greater Manchester to be a leading example of good employment in the UK, a place where people have equal access to quality work that is inclusive, fairly compensated, offers security and flexibility, and cultivates an environment where health and wellbeing thrives.
There are three key goals:

Improving people’s lives by supporting their employers to offer roles that provide better opportunities for them to grow, develop, and thrive in the workplace.
Society

Economy
Making the business case for good employment – proving that treating people well isn’t just ‘right’ to do, it enables employers to achieve more, contributing to a thriving economy.
