CyberSafe Foundation C.I.C. now has a dedicated website, and the Sponsored Access Programme has a proper home on it.

Until now, if a GB Shared member wanted to sponsor a local organisation's online safety, the answer was to email us and wait for a reply. That was fine for the first few conversations. It was not much use if you wanted to understand the thing properly before committing, or show it to someone else in your business.

So there are now two pages that spell it out.

If you are a business, cybersafefoundation.org.uk/sponsor sets out what you fund, what the organisation receives, how the match works, and what you get back. You sponsor one named local school, charity or community group for a full year from £420. You are recognised publicly as their sponsor and you get a written impact report every quarter, so there is something real to show for it rather than a line in a CSR statement.

If you are a charity, school or community group, cybersafefoundation.org.uk/nominate lets you put yourself forward to be matched with a sponsor. It costs nothing and commits you to nothing.

I will be straight about one thing. We are a community interest company, not a registered charity, so this is sponsorship with recognition rather than a charitable donation, and there is no Gift Aid. We would rather say that plainly up front than have your accountant find it later.
