I’m so proud to share that I’ve officially launched Sushma's Community Cookery School CIC

This has been a dream of mine for a long time to bring people together through food, culture, and community. With my Kenyan roots and Indian heritage, food has always been about more than just eating… it’s about connection, sharing, and learning.

Many of you already know that I run cookery classes, but this new CIC is focused on working within the community, supporting children, families, and groups who can really benefit from learning essential food skills.

At Sushma Community Cookery School, I’ll be offering classes that focus on:
 Cooking from scratch
 Building confidence in the kitchen
 Rethinking food & reducing food waste
 Making the most of ingredients & batch cooking
 Creating affordable, healthy meals for everyday life

With food prices rising, this is about supporting our community at a really critical time helping people save money, reduce food waste, and make the most of what they already have at home.
I’ll also be working with local groups, organisations, and partners to deliver workshops, collaborate on funding projects, and reach those who will benefit most.
