Summary of our Lancashire Skills Pledge Support

By
We are all about people and support.
Whilst are main activities are creating websites, CRM systems, branded videos and search engine optimised content, we are all about people.

None more so than are Corporate Social Responsibility focus, which as a company, is to give as many opportunities to support young people into the workplace as we can.

For the last 5 years, we have pledge our support to the Lancashire Skills Pledge, a Lancashire County Council initiative to donate time and support to upskill the people of Lancashire. In this time we have provided Apprenticeship positions, T-Level placement positions, visited schools, colleges and universities to give talks and lectures to students and this year we are even going to be supporting children in primary schools.

Here are the Pledges that we completed in 2025:

Organised through Blackburn College

T- Level Placements: - 448 hours provided
  • Student 'A' worked in our office for 315 hours from January to November, learning about the workplace, etiquette, demands of clients, project management and developing their communication skills. Specific product and service skills included training in website development, social media content creation and branded video animated logo creation.

  • Student 'B' worked with us for a minimum 133 on his 2nd T-Level Placement having transferred from another company. As with Student 'A' we supported his personal development and understanding of working in an office. His specific marketing and software skills where developed through website development and graphic design using software including Adobe and Canva.

Work Experience: - 35 hours provided
Our Work Placement Student joined us for one week to learn more about working in an office environment, creating blog content for search engine optimisation and a general understanding for website layouts and usability.

Live Brief: - 16 hours provided
  • In this project, we delivered 2 learning sessions with 2 groups of Students in College. We focused on the marketing of a specific service and used business processes and analysis tools to create SWOT analysis and Business Canvas. This looked at the viability of the product, £margin management, customer understanding and usability and routes to market. Our 3rd session saw the students return their findings in a presentation.

Filming to T-Level Placement Opportunities: - 3 hours
  • We were delighted to be invited to a Panel Discussion alongside 4 other Employers that had provided with College with T-Level Placements. The panel discussion was recorded live to video and formed marketing material to support the promotion of T-Level Placements to local Employers, covering our experiences, how we can shape the programme going forward and importantly demonstrate why other businesses should and can support our workforces of the future.

Organised through Education Business Partnership NW

High School Students Work Experience Placements:  - 28 hours

We welcomed a high school student from 2 local High Schools into the office for 1 week each.
Both students used the time to learn more about the workplace, website and support them to understand what ongoing education or workplace path they may want to take post High School education.

Our Work Placement Student joined us for one week to learn more about website development, focussing on the WordPress platform and different content management systems.
