One of the most challenging aspects of business life today is being "cyber aware and cyber safe". 

When handling confidential information you want to be completely sure that the company you hand your bank details along with all your personal information has done its upmost to keep your private information secure.  Perfect Recruitment as a SME knew we are all at risk and sometimes without actually looking at this aspect of your business you may have inadvertently left the back door wide open.

Lisa began this long and very complicated journey back in September.  She worked closely with the Lancaster University Cyber Foundation.  Lisa also attended a 3 day fully funded course to give her a little insight to the potential risks.  "What I learned whilst attending this course was this world is exceptionally scary and we all have similar traits that leave us completely vulnerable.  From simple mistakes such as your team logging on to a open network and unawares their phone could be hacked then they come and log on to your office wifi leaving you wide open to risks.  Passwords repeated is a huge issue.  I just knew I needed to shut down any potential risks"  

The University offered us a fully funded student to help us with policies and procedures and also help with the documentation required the Cyber Essentials accreditation.  Daniel Cooper joined the team temporarily and was an immense help.

After applying for the certificate in November all aspects took 4 months to put securely into place.  We had a guest wifi installed for staff, password policies implemented and Daniel created us a security app that can run every day and highlight any security breaches.  Our IT company also supported Lisa and helped with any terminology she didn't understand and there was a great deal of that.  We cant thank Mark and Paul at Simply Solve enough for the calm understanding and support.

This week we passed and received our certificate.  A real proud moment that takes Perfect Recruitment and Perfect Construction to the next level.
