As its national apprenticeship, we thought we would celebrate our three apprentices and all the great things they do here.
Our first apprentice is Dan who is our IT Technician Apprentice and was first to join the Nybble Academy. Dan joined us in 2018 and is working towards a level 3 in infrastructure technician.
Heres what Dan has to say about working here at Nybble
“I am working towards the end of my apprenticeship as a Level 3 Infrastructure Technician. Which mainly consists of preparing computers and laptop ready for sending to each customer site. Alongside this I assist with support this includes helping solve various different software issues for our clients, learning how to manage the servers we run, as well as upgrading and maintaining PCs. The apprenticeship has allowed me to put into practice what I have learnt within college. This also allows me to expand my knowledge within Nybble as I am not only learning IT in a company environment, but it is specific to their company and how they run. Over the past year and a half Nybble has been a fantastic place allowing me to grow my general knowledge alongside assisting me to pass my apprenticeship, on top of this my colleagues make sure that I any issues I come across get fix alongside talking me through the thought process and procedures for individual issue, Nybble is also a friendly place to work.”
Next to join the Nybble Academy was Abi. She joined us from Baltic Apprenticeships in 2019 and is currently advancing towards a Level 3 in digital marketing.
This is what she had to say:
“My apprenticeship is in digital marketing which is a role that is constantly evolving, I like how every day is new and different from the last. My job role here is updating our social media and writing blogs to go on our website, along with designing images for posts or leaflets. Being an apprentice has helped me develop my skills in a real-life environment which I think is key when working in a job like this, not only do I get a better insight into digital marketing as a career, I get to understand the world of IT while working at Nybble aswell. Nybble has allowed me to boost my skills as a digital marketer which I think is due to the fact that the team is very friendly and genuinely wants us to succeed.”
Lastly, Lucy joined us this year through Baltic Apprenticeships where she is also working towards a level 3 infrastructure technician.
“I am working towards an apprenticeship as a Level 3 Infrastructure Technician; which means that my role is assisting our current technicians in their role. The includes helping solve various different software issues for our clients, learning how to manage the servers we run, as well as upgrading and maintaining PCs. The apprenticeship has allowed me to learn practical skills and company-specific software issues that I may not have been able to learn in a classroom. This also helps my standing with Nybble as I am not only learning IT in a company environment, but it is specific to their company and how they run. So far, Nybble has been a fantastic place to work for due to the attention they take in helping all the apprentices boost their skills, but also in making sure that it is a friendly and supportive place to work.”
