Local Royal Academy of Dance teacher, and one of Blackpool Council's Get Started successes, Sarnai Byambadorj is launching a new initiative to help older people get out of the house, become more mobile, and make new friends with something to look forward to other than daily routine. They would be surrounded by like-minded people sharing the same experience. She is proud and excited to launch the Silver Swans classes on the 2nd anniversary of the SB Ballet Academy.

The RAD developed this programme based on research into dance practice for older learners – classes are only taught by Silver Swans licensed teachers.

Sarnai commented “Silver Swans® classes have been specifically designed for the over-55s, but whatever your age, if you are looking for a new way to keep fit and active, our ballet classes will put a spring in your step. Whether you’ve never danced before or want to get back into the swing of it, our classes have something for everyone”

Sarnai started her business journey with the help of Get Started and 2 years on is expanding into new genres of dance, specifically to help our older residents get fit.

Classes start on 20 February, 10.30-11.30, then every Thursday at the Arena Pleasure Beach.
