Hollie is a beautiful young lady who lives with her family in Preston and is supported by Caritas Care’s Supported Living Service.
Hollie has health needs that require essential care from a team of qualified Nurses and Support Workers who provide her with 24/7 support to manage her day to day care.
Hollie is non-verbal and has a tracheostomy and oral suction. She needs full support to help in all aspects of her life including; peg feeding; medication; personal care; attending medical appointments and providing open and honest communication with her family. Caritas Care staff describe Hollie as ‘a joy to support in a lovely working environment.’
Hollie’s dad said, “Having a nurse to help us in our own home means we can live life as a family, something we would be unable to do without this support.”
Hollie has a good social life and is supported by her professional network to attend social and crafting events in her community. Hollie enjoys regular days out and her Nurse is always present on these trips. Knowing that her health needs are taken care when she joins in activities is a great comfort and provides reassurance to her family. It also gives them space and respite to recharge their batteries.
Without the support of a Nurse, Hollie wouldn’t be able to live the full life she now has with the love of her family around her. This support is a vital resource to Hollie, her family and other families like hers.
We are looking for Nurses to join our team to support other people like Hollie – You could be the difference, join our team.
