Lancashare mind reader Aaron Calvert helped pull of an incredible proposal this Valentine's for an unsuspecting bride to be as part of the Vanishing Cabaret.

A blushing bride to be finally said yes when three Mancunian magicians delivered the perfect proposal from her fiancé - on the most romantic weekend of the year.
Recruitment consultant Lee, 38 from Manchester, had shared a candlelit dinner with girlfriend Sana, 34, at the Alston Bar and Beef, before asking for her hand in marriage on stage during Vanishing Cabaret Valentine’s show.
But Lee kept his proposition under lock and key before popping the question to an unsuspecting Sana, a GP from Manchester, at the Cathedral Street venue.
“I’d approached the magicians at Vanishing Cabaret a few weeks earlier to see if they could help me with my proposal to Sana,” said Lee.
“It was top secret, but they did a fantastic job.
“I was absolutely thrilled she said yes and I could finally relax after being on edge all show.”
During the cabaret show, Sana was picked at random from the audience, or so she thought, to be in the magic act.
Lee continued: “When she went on stage, a magician said: ‘Sana, locked inside that box, inside this scroll of paper, is that your ring?
Stunned Sana replied with a shocked and confused no, but as if by magic Lee was quickly down on one knee as she accepted his proposal accompanied by loud cheers for the happy couple from the enthusiastic audience.
A delighted Sana said: “I couldn’t believe it, it didn’t really hit me what was happening until Lee stood one one knee in front of me. I thought the trick had gone wrong and I felt so guilty that it wasn’t my ring. Turned out it was all along.”
Channel 4 hypnotist Aaron Calvert explained how the Vanishing Cabaret team had created the perfect moment for the special Manchester couple.
“We were determined to plan something incredible and being trusted with this huge responsibility we were also very excited at the opportunity to do something different and original,” he said.
Magician Sam Fitton said: “It was so important to us that it was all about Lee and Sana and not about us, the magic or the show in that moment.
“Everybody at Vanishing Cabaret is so happy for them.”
The cabaret show, created by Sam Fitton, conjurer Joel Dickinson and Aaron Calvert continues to be a huge hit with sell-out shows since the monthly show opened in July 2019.
Catch their shows on March 13, April 9, May 14 with more dates to be added at Vanishing Cabaret, 1837 Bar, Alston Bar and Beef, Cathedral Street Corn Exchange.
