Commercial photographer Liz Hall of Liz Henson Photography is delighted to have been named as a finalist in the Part-Time Business category of Rossendale Business Awards.
Liz, who initially started her business while she was still salaried and then, in 2013, she went full-time.
In August, her business awarded the SME Elite Awards title ofLancashire’s ‘Most Trusted Event Photographer 2020 - Lancashire’, for the second year running.
Liz, who currently works part time as she has young daughter, said: “As with a lot of businesses the COVID-19 pandemic took its toll, and events I would normally cover were cancelled, but I was still employed to do commercial shoots for clients.
“I also worked hard to complete online study, took time to evaluate my business, continued to network and hold online business meetings virtually. Both of these has helped me to make sure I was business-ready to help face the challenges I am up against. Although we are in a second lockdown, I have been able to use my home studio to complete product shoots and I have visited clients to take safe, distanced and COVID-compliant commerical photo shoots across Lancashire”
Rossendale Business Awards, organised by Valley at Work which connects local businesses in Rossendale, is in its 11thyear and the presentation ceremony will be held virtually this year on Wednesday December 2.
