LANCASHIRE’S DANBRO LAUNCH NEW FOUNDATION IN 20TH BIRTHDAY YEAR

By

Danbro is delighted to announce the official launch of the Danbro Foundation, coinciding with our 20th year in business. The Foundation is a not-for-profit organisation, devoted to improving the lives and prospects of those who need it most, providing them with optimism, opportunities and, ultimately, hope for the future.

The Danbro Foundation aims to ‘share the company’s success, committing both our time and financial resource to provide opportunity and support to those who need it’.

The Foundation’s Executive Committee comprises employees from across the Danbro Group. This select group will be giving up their personal time to make the key decisions in relation to the Foundation’s funding, marketing and charitable efforts. Working alongside local groups, such as Street Angels and Aspired Futures, and international charities like Operation Orphan, the Danbro Foundation formalises the way in which the company gives back. This enables the people who help generate the profits to have a bigger say in how and where the money is being spent.

IT Manager, Terry Glenister, who joined the company in 2011, is one of the Foundation’s committee members. Discussing his excitement about the Foundation’s launch, he’s confident that the organisation can ‘genuinely better the lives of other people.’

“Danbro has afforded me many opportunities to develop, both personally and professionally. So, when the chance arose to be part of the Danbro Foundation, I applied without hesitation,” he said. “As a member of the Foundation, I am able to be part of a team that can genuinely help better the lives of other people.”

The culture at Danbro is about more than just profit margins and number crunching. The Foundation is a prime example of how the company uses its own money to effect positive change on the local and wider community. For two years, the committee has worked diligently to reach this point, and it’s fitting that the Foundation’s launch coincides with the company’s 20th anniversary year.

To mark that milestone, Danbro will also be releasing a series of videos and interviews throughout the month of February. The films detail the company’s journey, sharing their vision and future aspirations. They include interviews with Danbro’s Founders – Helen and Damian Broughton – as well as various Directors and Associate Partners from the departments of Accountancy and Umbrella Employment, respectively. Testimonials from Danbro’s partners at EweMove (Managing Director, Nick Neill) and MyMobileWorkers (Managing Director, Graham Whistance) will also be released on the website and social media channels in the coming weeks. As will dozens of short films from employees across the Danbro Group, detailing what they love most about being part of the Danbro Family.
