Lancashire Business Gift Company Supports Preston’s NHS Heroes

By

Bamber Bridge based BusinessGiftUK.com have gifted 200 t-shirts as a thank you to NHS staff in Preston and Leyland. The black shirts are branded with a clear social distancing novelty slogan “If you can read this you are too close”.

NHS Heroes Support Hub

Provision of the gifts was facilitated by industry key suppliers PF Concept UK. They are based in Blackpool, near the old airport site, where they manufacture premium promotional gifts. The garments donated are to be distributed through the new NHS Heroes Support Hub and are being added to shelves stocked with a range of fresh fruit and vegetables, bread and cakes, other non perishable food, drinks plus toiletries and household products.  All items have been donated and are free to staff working for Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

Steve Ward, MD of BusinessGiftUK.com, and a long term supporter of Rosemere Cancer Foundation, said: “When I read about the hub being a free mini supermarket for our local NHS heroes, I wanted to support it and thought the t-shirts would be ideal as their slogan reminds people to observe the two metre distance rule.”

“I would like to thank our wonderful trade suppliers PF Concept UK. Their collaboration and subsidy made the donation possible.”

The NHS Heroes Support Hub is within walking distance of the Royal Preston Hospital, which is also home to Rosemere Cancer Centre, the region’s specialist cancer treatment centre. The hub is run entirely by volunteers and was the idea of Preston’s Muslim community. BusinessGiftUK have also  supplied 4000 water bottles to the hub, kindly sponsored by Preston company Gafoor Foods. They have been supplying and donating, branded awareness and fund-raising gifts to Rosemere, and other NHS Charities, for over a decade. If you want to donate items or time to the hub , you should first email donations@nhsheroeshub.co.uk. This helps to limit non-essential travel and observe social distancing rules. All collections, drop-offs and volunteer slots are being prior arranged.

Medical Centre Donation

Stephen also took a batch of the T-shirts, together with some printed pens and branded promotional nail files, to say thank you to the NHS team at his local surgery, Worden Medical Centre, Leyland. Here the staff are the first point of contact for Covid 19 sufferers and we were pleased to be able to support their important work as well. Some of the nurses kindly posed for a photo, modelling the shirts, safely distanced outside the centre.
