FRESH Perspective Resourcing celebrated its third birthday with music, magic, laughter – and of course, cake.
The recruitment specialists were joined by over 70 guests at their offices in Chorley, Lancashire to mark the occasion.
Owners Emily and Laura Leyland decided to host the party as a huge thank you to the people who have helped with the company’s success.
Laura said: “It was massively important to us to celebrate our success so far.
“The statistics for companies not making it to year three are quite startling.
“Forty per cent of businesses fail to reach this milestone, and so to actually make it here is a huge achievement and therefore we wanted to celebrate it.
“We wanted to bring together all those who have been part of our journey so far - we wouldn’t have done so well without their support. It was a thank you to them.
Sister Emily added: “It was quite emotional to see so many people there.
“The fact we have so much support shows that we are making waves in the industry, which is fantastic.
“Not all of our clients and contacts have visited our office, so we wanted them to come and see where we work and get to know us even better.
“Some even brought cards and presents!”
Performer Peter Hill had guests singing along to classics, while magic man Andrew Cooper left many open-mouthed by a series of tricks.
Sisters Emily and Laura launched Fresh Perspective in 2016 with the clear vision of transforming the recruitment industry’s tarnished image.
The business model is based on charging for time spent searching for candidates, rather than charging traditional placement fees, therefore ensuring that businesses receive value for money – saving them up to 50 per cent.
Emily, 31, added: “The recruitment industry has a terrible reputation but we want to change that.
“Most agencies charge up to 15 per cent of the first-year salary, so if that’s a £50,000 position, for example, that’s a heck of a lot of money.
“We know we’re on the back foot in the recruitment industry and up against our competitors but with our ethical approach, we are certainly becoming noticed and respected.”
The dedicated team, based in Chorley, has recruited over 126 candidates for 45 businesses in three years, and hopes to fill 100 positions in the next 12 months.
Laura, 35, “Year-on-year we’ve recruited more candidates and want to continue this trend by helping more people find jobs and more businesses succeed and grow.
“We’re passionate about helping people, whether that is candidates, clients, charities, or employees who work here.”
Fresh Perspective hopes to own its own premises within two years, complete with training rooms to hold workshops for candidates and clients.
