East Lancashire organisations show support for awards

Three organisations from across East Lancashire are showing support towards a prestigious awards ceremony.

Blackburn with Darwen Council, Blackburn College and Barnfield Construction have come on board as sponsors for the Blackburn and Darwen Business Awards, organised by networking group Hive.

Both Blackburn with Darwen Council and Blackburn College will be the headline sponsors while Barnfield Construction will be drinks reception sponsor.

Now in its fifth year, the awards celebrate the very best in business across the Blackburn & Darwen area, entry is free for Hive members or £25 for non-members who enter on the early bird rate.

Ian Brown, chair of the Hive Ambassadors Network, said: “We’re absolutely delighted to welcome on board three sponsors.

“The support of these three organisations is critical in helping us implement the awards and really drive awareness of the Blackburn with Darwen area, as an incredible place to do business.”

He added: “It looks set to be a fantastic awards this year, with some great businesses already entering. The deadline for entries is the 29th March, so for any businesses that have benefited from or have benefited the HIVE (Blackburn with Darwen) region, there’s till time to get your entry in.”

Following submission there will be a shortlisting process, then a judging process carried out by an independent panel.The final winners will be revealed at an awards ceremony held at the stunning Kind George’s Hall, on the 27th June.

There are 24 awards up for grabs including The Retail Business Award, The Family Business Award and The Manufacturing Excellence Award.
