Driving Growth: Pierce Welcomes New Recruits

North West Business Advisory and Accountancy Firm, Pierce, are delighted to announce several strategic hires across several departments enhancing its capacity to support clients in a rapidly evolving economic landscape. The addition of these employees reflects the firm’s commitment to growth and delivering high-quality services to its expanding client base.

Catherine Shaw joined the Business Services team as a qualified Accounts advisor in June of this year, bringing her 11 years Practice and 10 years Industry experience.

Also in June, Finance Manager Gill Cefai joined the team after 25 years of working in Industry. Gill’s role includes bookkeeping, reporting, and budgeting for the business.

Joining Catherine in the Business Services team is Mohammed Bux, a trainee accountant working towards his AAT and ACA qualifications.

Josh Donohoe has taken a position as Tax Manager and is responsible for providing a broad range of tax advice relating to both the client’s business and personal affairs.

Mohammed Malik, Charlie and Ethan have joined the firm as trainees initially in the Cloud Accounting team assisting clients with their accounting software and preparing accounts and VAT returns, before commencing their qualifications to become accounts advisors.

Pierce has also welcomed additional trainees in the Business Services team, Unaisha Yusuf and Ali Imtiaz. Unaisha with a medical accounting background is working towards an ACA qualification whilst Ali is only three examines away from becoming ACCA certified.

Sam Mackay, (not pictured), joined the team in August also as a trainee accountant studying for his Level 4 AAT qualification.

The final recruitment into the Business Services Team is Jay Tailor who is AAT qualified bringing with him 20 years of experience in Practice.

Pierce has also recruited Sharmina Ahmed into the Payroll Team who at the start of 2024 relocated to Lancashire and moved back into salaried payroll where her career began.
