Hello all,
I've only recently joined the Lancashare family and took some top tips from the regulars yesterday about sharing what I do.
With this in mind, I thought I'd share a testimonial just in from a lovely client I've finished working with. Here it is ...
"If you really want to understand what’s going on with your well-being you need to be afforded the time to discuss in detail your problems in order to come up with a holistic and planned approach, and to review the progress you are making in a structured manner with a specialist.
Amanda has helped me with dietary advice to suit my conditions; provided recipes, keep fit recommendations and an introduction to a personal trainer. She has also advised me with coping mechanisms to deal with personal matters following the death of my wife, and these are just a few ways in which Amanda has helped me.
In reality, I feel I’ve become a more focused and balanced person. I have no hesitation in recommending Amanda to help you make the right Health Steps
Martin, 63,Colne"
In just 8 weeks my client lost half a stone in weight. There was no calorie counting, crazy plans or numbers to follow. My nutrition for everyday living plan - bespoke for each new client - involved simple swaps based on analysing his (then) current food diary, and eating and drinking more wholesome nutrient-dense food and drinks, to better support his body's needs. Utilising the resources that mother nature provides us with, no magic pills here!
Aside from nutrition and exercise, we worked on strategies for improving other areas of health and wellbeing, particularly around personal family matters. In health coaching, we take the whole person approach; health goes way beyond nutrition and movement. You could be smashing your diet and exercise goals but something else in your life could be negatively impacting your health and wellbeing, and it's very common.
Before working together, Martin's blood test results for cholesterol markers were high and the GP was considering prescribing statins. I asked my client if he would consider stalling the decision on this (in agreement with the GP of course) and retest at the end of his health coaching programme. He retested and his cholesterol levels have dropped between 15-20% in less than 3 months. Our bodies need fat but we need more of the good guys and less of the bad guys.
It was an absolute pleasure to be Martin's ally throughout the period we worked together, he continues to work on his goals even though we've finished the programme, and he's absolutely smashing it!
Working together as a client and coach partnership, towards sustainable lifestyle changes, helping you get you from A to B faster than doing it alone is what we do in health coaching. Sometimes, all it takes is a trusted ally to get you started. I've got you!
If you or somebody you know would benefit from talking to me, I offer a free 30 minute, no-obligation consultation.
By the way, if you're still here, you can find more testimonials right here
Have a lovely day.
Amanda
